Week 3 (Jan 26): Mendelian inheritance: The Wx, Nud, and Lks2 loci in the OWB. Scoring sheet. OWB data. Kulc.
Week 4 (Feb 2): Exam review
Week 5 (Feb 9): Linkage mapping - making maps. Linkage of 3 loci. Scoring sheet. Database 224 loci
Week 6 (Feb 16): Epistasis: going deeper into interactions. Cucurbits and vernalization genes, per class notes.
Week 7 (Feb 23): Molecular markers - principles. The Learn Genetics site fo DNA extraction, PCR, etc. Plus the OrNe show.
Week 8 (Mar 1): Exam review
Week 9 (Mar 8): Marker assisted selection - using molecular markers. MAS Presentation

Recitation guidelines
Recitation is optional and it is intended to clarify material presented in class, expand horizons, and stimulate curiosity
Recitation grade will be based on attendance. A = perfect attendance record. 1 absence = B, etc. There will be an option to do extra work to make up for a missed recitation (with valid excuse).
