Brigid has worked at OSU and WSU as a plant breeder, she joined the Organic Agriculture Program full time in October 2024. She is interested in organic weed and pest management, breeding for organic systems, and working with growers to add a value-added small grain or pulse crop to their rotation. Her research focuses on breeding multi-use naked barley for organic systems and early maturing dry beans for western Oregon.
