Low temperature tolerance (LTT)
1. The LTT panel:
- The LTT panels are finalized. The full panel consists of 941 barley accessions. The subset panel consists of 384 accessions. At this time, the lists simply provide germplasm source. Pedigree information and accession origin information will be added later. The full panel was derived from the 1000 entries (list) that were grown in Oregon and Minnesota in 2012-2013. Redundant entries, and those that did not produce enough seed, were removed.
- Genotype data (Illumina 9K) for the original 1,000 entries is available at T3.
- Protocol for phenotyping LTT.
2. The FACWIN6: Many of these 300 accessions (list) are included within the LTT panel.
3. The Winter World Core. This highly diverse panel (list) was developed by Harold Bockleman (USDA-ARS, NSGC). It was phenotyped for LTT in Minnesota in 2011-2012 and the phenotyping is being repeated in 2012-2013. Phenotype data are available at T3. Genotyping with the 9K is completed. Genotyping data are available at T3. Preliminary results from GWAS will be presented at the TCAP annual meeting in 2013. Phenotyping for stripe rust and scald resistance will be conducted in Oregon in 2013.
